The Family Center’s COVID Resources include local practitioners, organizations and businesses that provide support to individuals and families. This listing gives you an opportunity to quickly and confidentially connect with local resources to source professional help.

MSHDA Eviction Diversion Program

The Michigan State Housing and Development Authority (MSHDA) Eviction Diversion Program (EDP) is designed to keep Michigan residents who fell behind on their rent during COVID-19 in their homes. The program utilizes a special court process to get fast rental assistance for renters who have been impacted. Rental assistance in the amount of $50 million is available in the form of lump sum payments to landlords in exchange for allowing tenants to remain in their homes, forgiving late fees and up to 10% of amount due. MDE COVID-19 Health and Nutrition Service Resources

In response to the COVID-19 crisis, the Michigan Department of Education (MDE) through its Office of Health and Nutrition Services has developed guidance and resources to facilitate feeding children and families. Wayne Metro Cares 

Wayne Metro understands that our communities are facing unprecedented challenges due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In an effort to respond to the immediate needs of Michigan residents, Wayne Metro is implementing our CARES Relief & Recovery Services. Through this new initiative, residents of Wayne County may qualify for assistance in the following areas: Food & Income Support, Water & Energy Assistance, Property Tax Assistance, Mortgage Assistance, Funeral Assistance, and Emergency Plumbing Repair.

COVID-19 RX Support Program

Frankie Groce, Director of SGRX and Wayne County HealthChoice (WCHC) have partnered to offer financial assistance to Wayne County residents who have lost their prescription coverage as a result of the COVID-19 crisis. The platform for this program will be the Wayne County Prescription Savings Program administered by SGRX, a Wayne County based Pharmacy Benefit Manager (PBM).

Upon enrollment, the program will cover 50% of the out of pocket cost for Maintenance Medications / COVID-19 related medications with a maximum of $1000 per enrollee, and a 30-day supply. Support will be contingent on availability of funds, and enrollment will be on a first-come, first-served basis.
