road map coverThe Family Center's exclusive resource guide for parents, professionals and caregivers. The 60-page guide resembles a Trip Tik and is chock full of easy-to-find information and resources on issues confronting adolescents and their parents. It includes sections on homework, stress, teen parties, sex, substance abuse and more.

The Family Center has called upon many who are experts in their field to contribute to this valuable resource:
Mary Berschback and Fran Carnaghi, school counselors; Susan Fell, school social worker; Jill Killenberg, social worker; Lisa Khoury, school psychologist; detective David Loch; Sally Beghin, public safety officer; the Rev. Tom Rice; Mindy MacGriff, parent; Carla Palffy, managing director, College Prep RX; Cathy Mestdagh, teacher; Lynn Zott, certified prevention specialist for CARE; Stacie Bruneel, social worker and Youth Assistance Program coordinator for CARE; Kathy Rager, executive director of CARE; Diane Strickler, founder of The Family Center; and Debbie Liedel, executive director of The Family Center.

Beghin, a Grosse Pointe Woods school liaison officer who teaches drug and alcohol education at the elementary school level, states, "This is simply the most nicely done booklet dealing with these issues I've seen around here in a long time. I'm thrilled that we have something like this to distribute to the parents in our community! Thank you for coordinating such a great project!"
