Dear Friend of The Family Center,
The Family Center is noted as the go-to resource that provides unique programs and services to kids and families in our community. We are able to do so because of philanthropic gifts from people like you. Your gifts support prevention and early intervention, the keys to long-term family health and well being.
The Family Center understands the value of providing timely resources to families on important topics such as youth trends, health issues, transition milestones, and societal influences. Recognizing the early signs of teen depression, a child’s autistic tendencies, developmental delays and unusual behavioral traits can lead to early diagnosis, treatment and better outcomes.
This past year, community gifts like yours supported Family Center speakers who addressed important topics such as teen suicide prevention, the dark side of our achievement culture, the transitions to kindergarten and to college, anger management and self-care for mothers.
Family Center Spotlight
The Family Center is pleased to recognize Gail and Lois Warden as "philanthropists extraordinaire."
Lois and Gail model the role of philanthropists as they have shared their financial support as well as time and talent. The Warden's earliest gifts to The Family Center supported operations in a fledgling nonprofit, and their gifts continue to support programs to families and kids. Lois guided the transition of our signature fundraiser from a small event to our major gala event, the HOLLYFEST auction and dinner.

Looking Back, Moving Forward
Thanks to your many gifts, The Family Center has celebrated its first successful decade.
Last year at this time, I shared with you my top ten memories of that era. They were all related to our accomplishments in our early years of laying a foundation upon which to build a strong organization.
As our second decade unfolds, we are able to focus ever more keenly on our mission because we have everything in place for continued success: a governance structure that works well, financial checks and balances, a strategic plan, and programs that serve the needs of our community.
As we drive our mission forward, each year continues to bring expanded programming along with a growing audience, and we are proud to share with you some of our accomplishments of this past year:
