Practice/Mission/Vision Statement
I offer a range of psychotherapy, counseling, and consultation services to adults, adolescents, couples, and families in a secure and comfortable environment. As a social work psychotherapist, my approach is to partner and support clients in recognizing and building on their existing social and emotional competencies, strengths, and problem solving abilities. In addition to working with individuals with mood and personality disorders, relational challenges, trauma, life-stage and transition issues, I specialize in supporting individuals and families living with disabilities, chronic medical issues, and sexual health concerns.
A former public school teacher, and disability services provider in higher education, I presently serve as a consultant to families on transition issues of youth with disabilities from middle to high school, and from high school to post secondary systems. I coach and counsel individuals with cognitive and neurological disorders, including ADD/ADHD, Asperger Syndrome, Developmental Disabilities, and Traumatic Brain Injury.
As a sexual health therapist, I work with individuals and couples on such issues as sexual dysfunction, problems with intimacy, and post surgical support for Urological and OBGYN conditions.
I counsel and advise families with GLBTQ youth, and render services to same sex couples.
